Gratitude
November is one of my favorite months of the year, despite the hyped-up commercial desire to propel from us all from “spooky season” to “holiday shopping”, I think there’s something beautiful about a time of year that focuses on gratitude.
It’s certainly easy to think of the big things I’m thankful for each year; like good health and a home with a table big enough for family and friends. But this year, after so much loss for so many, it seems like gratitude feels more specific and, in many ways, more necessary. This year, I’m thankful for the scientists that made vaccines possible, I’m thankful for the creative community that surrounds me, and I’m thankful that I can hug my family (mask free) without worry.
As a small business owner, I am incredibly thankful for each one of you! While the last year felt like a roller coaster, you made a choice to shop with us. Your support of Taken kept our doors open, our staff employed and our makers creating.
So, as we enter into this month of gratitude, we’re hoping you’ll spread the word about our special shop. Bring a friend in as a first time customer, and both of you will get a gift!
We can’t wait to welcome you home.
